Foodbank’s Picnic in the Park Feeds More than Five Thousand

I think that The Lord Jesus would have been proud to be over shadowed by this mob. The annual free lunch program wrapped up 2011 by provided 56,496 lunches this year compared to 26,724 last year. That's quite an achievement! Part of a network of Picnics in the Park the Idaho Foodbank incorperates Winstead Park, Ivywild Park and Redwood Park. Isn't that what picnics are always all about ... Good food? That's certainly what they thought at the fifth annual BuskerFest Children’s Picnic in Toronto where they had Five hundred children from downtown day camps. The children were delighted with fire dancers, balloon artists, clowns and stilt walkers. This was one great picnic. Picnic events have been inspired lots of things. Family gathering, family reunions, visits by relatives and friends that live at a distance. Then there’s the picnics sponsored by neighborhood groups, clubs and church groups.
